'Young Woman reading'
The Museum of Fine Arts,
Welcome to Booking With Charli and Me. My name is Carol and the little hooligan on my sidebar is my very spoiled and sassy pooch Charli. She is a real character indeed! In fact, I never know what she is going to do next.
Booking with Charli and Me may look like a blog but it's actually an attachment or a link of sorts to the blog I already have. I wanted a place where any one who chooses to do so could easily access my book reviews without having to sift through all of the other posts on my original blog. I have also included a few movie reviews and some information about 'Poem in your Pocket Day' which occurs in April concurrent with National Poetry Month.
I'm very glad you decided to stop by. I hope you will take a few minutes to have a look around, and perhaps, find a book you might be interested in reading.
If you enjoy reading, have read any of the books here, or have any other comments you wish to make, I would love to hear from you.
I would also love for you to come and visit Charli and Me on our blog at http://charliandme.blogspot.com/ Please accept my invitation to visit 'Friends of Charli and Me' at http://friendsofcharliandme.blogspot.com/ A place where you will find some of the beautiful awards and gifts given to 'Charli and Me,' as well as, a link to of some of our wonderful bloggy friends. I look forward to you visiting us.
Lastly, I will leave you with the following poem.......
"Books, books, books have found the secret of a garret-room
piled high with cases in my father's name;
Piled high, packed large, --where, creeping in and out
among the giant fossils of my past, like some small nimble mouse
between the ribs of a mastodon, I nibbled here and there
at this or that box, pulling through the gap, in heats
of terror, haste, victorious joy, the first book first
And how I felt it beat under my pillow, in the morning's dark.
An hour before the sun would let me read!
-Elizabeth Barrett Browning-
I hope you have a lovely day ♥
Again, thank you so much for stopping by.
With warmest regards, Carol
